Favorite Cars

Postby rcpresl » Sat Jul 19, 2008 9:22 am

Today it's hard to find a 1955 thru 1957 Chevy at a decent price, but during our senior year several people had them. Mr Poe and Mr Stringham had 55s, and I think they gave "Hutch" one when he retired. Mrs. Wooley drove a very nice 1950 Chevy coupe. Most of us drove old clunkers that we could barely keep running. I remember a couple of old Fords. Ray Human had a 1940, and that one is even harder to find than a 1950s Chevy. Anyone have a favorite???

Mr. Stringham drove a red Corvette during my last years there.

Yeah, and I must have been an automatic. Otherwise, Mr. Stringham wouldn't be able to hold onto the steering wheel.

Probably was. But I distinctly remember him driving one.
