UNDERWOOD, WILLIAM T. (BILL)- Beloved husband, father and brother, passed suddenly from this world into the presence of God on April 10, 2010. He was born on January 18, 1940, to the late William B. and Lauretta Dukes Underwood. The things Bill loved the most was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, his family, his church family, his friends and his Country. Bill was a 1958 graduate of Rule High School. He served in the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He was a member of Wallace Memorial Church and the O'Dell Faithful Followers Sunday School Class. He also attended the Knoxville Bible Study Fellowship on Monday evenings. Bill had many interests and hobbies, but his passion was studying God's Word. He retired from the City of Knoxville Fire Department with the rank of Captain after more than 30 years of service. He is survived by his high-school sweetheart and wife of 48 years, Kim; his daughters, Pam and Amy Underwood; and his sister, Betty Underwood, all of Knoxville. Services will be Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in the chapel of Weaver Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Dr. Mike Boyd, Rev. Kent Williams and Chaplain Paul Trumpore officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class. Visitation will be 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
