Anna Lois Stevens Stonecipher

STONECIPHER, ANNA LOIS STEVENS - age 75 devoted and loving wife of William (Stoney) Stonecipher for 57 years and beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with pneumonia. Lois was a charter member of Walridge Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from the Oak Ridge K-25 and Y-12 plants after 30 years of service. She was a 50-year member and past Worthy Matron of Knoxville 69 Order of the Eastern Star. Lois ran the concession stand and coached many softball teams through the years at Badgett Field. She was a 1952 graduate of Rule High School. Preceded in death by parents, J.B. and Minnie Lee Stevens; brothers, J.H. Stevens and Baby Boy Stevens; sisters, Eddie Ruth and Katherine Leota Stevens. Survived by husband, William (Stoney) Stonecipher; daughters and husbands, Gay and Robert Schrell of Cleveland, TN, Joy and Richard Evans, Merry and Phil Jarnagin all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Bobby Cook (Chandra), Nicholas Sharp (Donna), Albert Cook, Amanda (Tim) Poskevich, Andrew Jarnagin and Rachel Jarnagin; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Floyd and Mildred Stevens, J.B. and Linda Stevens; sisters, Nancy Irick, Helen Stone; brothers-in-law, Clyde (Millie) Stonecipher, Jim Ruth; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou (Charlie) Milligan, Edith (Ray) Bearden; special cousins, Jimmy Fritz and Inez Mantooth; many nieces, nephews, special relatives and friends too numerous to name, but they were all very special to her. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Victor Salter for his many years of excellent care and friendship. The family would also like to thank Dr. Salter's staff and associates and the 7th Floor Nursing Staff as well as the ICU Staff at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Walridge Baptist Church, P.O. Box 12596, Knoxville, TN 37912. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary Chapel. Family and friends will meet Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. for a 2 p.m. graveside service and interment, Reverend Charles Whitson officiating. Pallbearers: Nicholas Sharp, Andrew Jarnagin, Tim Poskevich, Larry Milligan, Scott Stone, Jeff Irick, Albert Cook and Bobby Cook.
