BUTCHER, WILLIAM "BILL" EUGENE - 64, of Knoxville, Tennessee, entered into eternal rest to join his Savior on Friday, April 13, 2012. He passed away peacefully and in no pain after a long struggle with congestive heart failure and other illnesses. A graduate of Rule High School and the University of Tennessee, Bill was employed for 37 years by University of Tennessee Medical Center where he enjoyed the opportunity to care for others. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Noble Butcher, Jr. and Gladys Sims Butcher, as well as his infant brother, Tommy and his brother-in-law, Roy Keisling. Mr. Butcher is survived by a son, William Eric Butcher, his daughter-in-law, Donna, his grandsons, William Dylan Butcher, John Daniel McLellan, Christopher Perry Robinson Butcher, and Reece Douglas Ford, sisters, Kay Lawson, Linda Keisling, and Peggy (Frank) Sise; nephews, Brad and Brian Sise, and Roy Keisling, Jr.; nieces, Debbie Childress, Jennifer Wilcox, and Amanda Garrett. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 16 from 6-8 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 7200 Brickey Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee 37918 with rosary prayer to follow. A memorial service will also be held at St. Albert the Great on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 a.m., Fathers Bill Gahagan and Chris Michelson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept offerings to offset the cost of final expenses.
