JONES, JAMES EDDIE - age 70 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 14, 2012. He was a member of Beaumont Avenue Baptist Church, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He retired as a lieutenant from the University of Tennessee Police after thirty-five years of service. He is preceded in death by parents, James E. Jones and Dorothy Bailey Jones; sister, Treva Moore; brother, Tommy Jones; and nephew, Randy Moore. He is survived by son, Ricky Jones; daughters, Deborah Jean Mills, and Kristy (Matt) Lunsford; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister, Faye (Gene) Kenner; brother, Steve (Terri) Jones; aunt, Jean Studer; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, December 17, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Ron Russell officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1:15 pm Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel and proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment service.
