SUMMEY, JOYCE (FORD) - age 70, of Rockford went to be with Jesus and the loved ones gone before her on Tuesday, December 3, 2013. The caring wife of Billy Summey for 38 years, was a homemaker, great cook, avid reader, enjoyed Gospel music and sharing memories. Preceded in death by: son, Michael Kitts; parents, Adrian & Ruby Ford; brother, Gene Ford; niece, Janet Ford; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Mike & Early Summey; brothers-in-law, Verlin (Tom) Summey and Jay Godsey. Surviving Kitts, sons & wives, Randy & Cindy, Ricky, Mark & Gina, Tim & Pam, Tommy & Tracy, Jeff & Missy; daughter, Jennifer Kitts; special granddaughter, Emily Hickman; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren lovingly call her NayNay & Grandma Joyce. Also survived by, sister, Susan Ford; sisters-in-law, Johnnie Summey, Vivian (Ted) & (Hugh) Houser and Wanda (Sue) Godsey; aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive. Funeral service will be at 7:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Smith West Chapel with Rev. Jim Kitts and Rev. Mark Dowell officiating. Family and friends will assemble for interment at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Smith West Chapel.
