WILLIAMS, JAMES A. (JIM) - age 85, of Karns, departed this life Monday, July 7, 2014. Member of Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church. Retired from Y-12 after 36 years of service. He was also a member of Knoxville Scottish Rite, Beaver Ridge Masonic Lodge, Beaver Ridge Eastern Star #320 and a veteran of the Korean War. Preceded in death by wife, Juanita H. Williams; parents, Baxter and Katherine Williams; brother, Charlie Williams.Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Kenneth Davis of Maryville, Conilee and Gary Hennersdorf of Ft. Worth, TX and Kim and Chris Towe of Clinton; grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Wes), Cassie Womack (Cade), Mikel Towe (Elizabeth) and Leah Prater (Cory); great-grandchildren, Lucy and Lyla Womack. Funeral service 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church with Rev. Darryll Rasnake officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Memorials may be made to Beaver Ridge United Methodist Church or the University of Tennessee Cole Neuroscience Center c/o Development Office, 2121 Medical Center Way, Ste 110, Knoxville, TN 37920.
