(Received this info from a friend of Wanda's) The Doctors have told the family that there in no way that Wanda will ever get better. Her lungs are down to, breathing capacity that is, the size of a 20oz coke bottle. That is both lungs. Also she will lose about 8% of that each year. So the prognosis is not good at all. She may get to come home with the right care. If that is what she wants I will make every attempt to do that. The carbon dioxide in her lungs now stands at 68%, and she is getting no exchange, even though she is on 6 to 8 liters of 02.

She is at St. Mary's Hospital, don't have the room number. Telephone number is 865-545-6439. Ya'll keep her in your prayers.

Wanda Collins Hardin passed away peacefully Friday June 29th at 10:30 pm. She will be at Bridges Funeral Home on Rutledge Pike in Knoxville Tennessee. Funeral Arrangements are as follows:

The Family will receive Friends, Monday July, 2, 2007 from 5 P.M to 7 PM, Funeral Services will be held at 7 PM.

Graveside services 10:00am Tuesday July 3, 2007 at Oak Grove Cemetary

I am so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. I never got to "meet" her again after high school, but was majorette when she was in the band and she was a very sweet person.

My sympathy goes out to her family. If I were in Knoxville (just got home yesterday) I would definitely go to her funeral.
