Posted: Mon Apr 19, 2021 11:17 pmKnoxville - Alvin Lynn "Frog" Mills, Sr., age 59, of Knoxville, joined his Heavenly Father, April 18, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
Preceded in death by parents, Wilton James Mills, Sr. and Lillie Mae Gertrude King Mills; brothers, Oliver "OJ" Mills, Sr. and Calvin Lee Mills; sister, Mary Mills Brown.
A graduate of Rule High School followed by enlisting in the army for a few years. Alvin was a family man and leaves a legacy of love and fun to his son.
Survivors, Alvin "AJ" Mills, Jr.; brother, Wilton "Funk Master" Mills, Sr.; sisters, Sherry Smith and Alma Dozier; stepchildren, Camillya Durant, Frank Wilson, Jr., and Cynthia Wilson; grandchildren, Nevaeh, Deonjay and Narajah Strickland; six step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren; aunts, Joyce (Robert) Martin and Janice Moore; uncles, Carl Mills, Sr., John (Glennie) Mills, Sr. and Richard (Mattie) Ragland, Sr.; brother-law, James Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, to include devoted friends, Sheila Myers, Treva Jarnigan and Kevin Dobson.
The body may be viewed, 12:00- 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Jarnigan's Chapel; family will receive friends, 10:30 a.m.- 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2021, funeral service, 11:00 a.m., Rev. J. B. Smith, Officiating.
Interment, East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, John Sevier Hwy.
