Alonzo Lawrence Davis, Jr., age 65, was born on May 18, 1955 and departed on May 10, 2021.

Alonzo, Jr. was the first-born child to the late Reverend Alonzo Sr. and Peggy Davis in Knoxville, Tennessee. Alonzo Jr. graduated from Rule High School in 1973. He served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1975 and the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1980. Alonzo was a Certified Nursing Assistant for over 22 years. For the past 11 years, he was an employee at NHC Fort Sanders.

He married his beloved wife, Cecelia on June 2, 2015. Cecelia called him her "Sweet Thang." Alonzo referred to her as "Babe" or "Lucy." They were approaching their six-year wedding anniversary. Cecelia will always cherish their love and their precious life together.

Preceded in death by his father, Reverend Alonzo L. Davis, Sr.; grandparents, Dallas and Mary Whitehead, Ulysses and Estella Davis; his father-in-law, Allen Henry "Hands" Mason Jr.; brothers-in-law, Jerry Lynn Mason and Prophet Terry Eugene Minor, Sr.

Left to treasure his memory: loving wife, Cecelia "Cee Cee" Mason Davis; daughter, Terkila" Kee Kee" (Steven Sr.) McKissick; son, Jared "Jay" Mynatt; step-son, Marteko "Boss" Allen; grandchildren, Harold Middlebrook III, London Mynatt, Kamani and Maliq Allen; his mother, who he loved dearly, Peggy Davis; sisters, Rhonda Brooks and Djuna Minor; brothers, Charles (Dandris) Davis, David (Sabrina) Davis, Sr. and Anthony McAlister Sr.; mother-in-law, Barbara "Mama Bear" Mason; brother-in-law, Terry Mason and a host of relatives and friends too numerous to name.

Thursday, May 20, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Payne Avenue Baptist Church, 2714 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN. A service to follow for immediate family and close friends. Minister Terry Minor, Jr. is the eulogist. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Interment will follow at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 2200 Gov. John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, TN, where military honors and a white dove release will conclude the service.
