Linda Jean Widner Potter, age 67 of Cleveland, formerly of Knoxville passed away January 15, 2022. Linda was born and raised in the Lonsdale Community where she graduated from Rule High School in 1972. She was a cheerleader and beauty contestant winner, her junior and senior years. She worked at WIVK radio and was deputy clerk at Knox County Register of Deeds where she retired after 23 years of service. She later attended Pellissippi State and University of Tennessee. Linda was a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Knoxville and Grace Community Church in Cleveland. Survived by her husband of 50 years, Wayne Potter; daughter, Dixie Sewell (Jason); son, Lloyd Potter; step daughter, Tammy Potter; brothers, Kyle Widner (Diane) and Duane Widner; grandchildren, Chase Witt (Lexie), Bryce Witt, Camden Sewell, Alexa Witt, Brent Potter, Blaine Potter and one great-grandchild, Luca Witt. Preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Edna Widner and daughter, Krissy Potter. Family will receive friends Wednesday at Weaver’s Chapel from 6:00-8:00 pm with the service to follow. Family and friends will meet Thursday at 10:45 am at Clapps Chapel Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers include, Chase Witt, Bryce Witt, Camden Sewell, Brent Potter, Matthew Ammons, and Jason Sewell.
