Knoxville - Willie P. Sentell McCoy, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 surrounded by her children. She was a 1946 graduate of Rule High School. Willie was a long time head bookkeeper for the Bank of Knoxville (SunTrust) and retired after 30 plus years of service. She was a long time member of South Knoxville Baptist Church where she and her husband, Roy, worked with the youth. Willie was dedicated to her family. She loved her family, friends and shopping and was well known for her potato salad and cooking. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy R. McCoy, Jr.; parents, Earl A. Sentell and Hallie M. Smith Weaver; sister, Toni Ellis; brothers, Sid Sentell and John Weaver. Survivors include daughter, Kelley Barnhart; son and daughter-in-law, Kibbee and Kim McCoy; grandchildren, Amelia Wilson (Nick), Olivia McCoy-Cobb (Jake), Hallie Barnhart and Landon Barnhart; great granddaughter , Annaliese Wilson; sister, Shirley Manes (Bob), brothers, James Sentell, Howard Weaver (Ann), Mike Weaver; several nieces, nephews and many special friends. Family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37920. Family and friends will meet Monday, February 7, 2022 at East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy., Knoxville TN 37920 for a 2:00 PM Inurnment Service with Dr. Glenn Sullivan officiating.
