Frank Gary Cooper Sr, age 65, transitioned into his heavenly home on Thursday, January 26, 2023. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the old General Hospital on April 14, 1957 to Jack (Bo) Cooper and Eliza M. Cooper. He attended schools throughout Knoxville and graduated from Rule High School. He was self-employed and a jack of many talents. He was a member of Mt Moriah church under the leadership of Rev. Randolph. He later moved to Greenville, South Carolina. He was a member of Rock of ages Baptist church under the leadership of Rev Jerry Daniels, where he attended faithfully until his health failed. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Promise and Forever Weston and siblings Elizabeth Woods, Willie James, Mary Nelson, and Willie Mae Woods. He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Nyesha Marie Cooper and Litanya Denise Cooper; son, Frank Gary Cooper Jr.; grandchildren, Aaliyah Gilmore, Marquis Cooper, Kemoni Cooper, Erica Cooper, Desjhnae Cooper, Jamie Gaines, Seayon Cooper, Miziah Patrick, ZaeSeayon Cooper, James Gaines Jr, and RaShea Wilson. Siblings Arnetta Kirkland (Frank Gillespie), Jack Cooper, Patricia (James) Thompson, Evangelist Shirley Mack, Ronnie (Ezelia) Nelson, Glenn (Priscilla) Evans, and Donna Evans. Only living aunt Juanita Avery. A devoted friend (former wife) Sarah Cooper. A devoted friend Raymond June of Greenville, SC, and a collective sister Azilee Waters. Brothers-in-law Michael Lee, George McMahan and a sister-in-law Kimberly McMahan. A host of family members too many to name. Frank was a caring and loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He had a big heart and would lend his helping hand whenever he could. He would chauffeur you or help you pay a bill. He will be greatly missed. Thursday, February 09, 2023, the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a service to follow at Mount Moriah Fire Baptized Holiness Church, 2001 Western Ave., Knoxville, TN. Pastor Franklin Brown officiating and Bishop Alonzo Rogers is the eulogist. Flowers may be delivered to the church prior to the viewing.
