(2018)
Belinda Marie Letner Bomar Russell, age 58, of Maryville let go of her pain on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, after years of mental, emotional, and physical struggle in this world. She had trouble fitting into a world that didn’t make sense to her most of the time, and at some point she stopped trying.
Belinda leaves behind a legacy of love, in her daughter, Lindy, whom she committed her whole heart to raising. She did everything in her power to make sure Lindy had a better life than she had: received more affection, felt more loved, trusted her own inner voice more, had less fear of being seen.

Belinda could be a difficult woman to find beneath her smoke and mirrors, but when she was able to quiet her inner demons, Belinda tried her best to brighten her corner of the world: joke with strangers at the grocery store or the doctor’s office to make them smile; say outrageous things, whether true or not, to inspire a laugh; buy a meal for the person behind her in line, as a random act of kindness; research pretty much anything for anyone she cared about who didn’t know where to start. Belinda had a big, vulnerable, and generous heart that she tried to guard from the world, but which broke anyway from the weight she didn’t know how to stop carrying. She is light, now, free of those burdens.

Belinda has left behind the aching hearts of her husband, William A. Russell of Maryville, TN; her daughter, Lindy Russell of Denver, Colorado; her might-as-well-be-son Tom Jedlicka of Elkridge, Maryland; and all those whose hearts she touched while she was alive. May she finally rest, in peace, and love, and light. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home Maryville. http://www.millerfuneralhome.org (865)982-6041.
