Daisy Hudgins Johnson- 83 of Knoxville gained her Heavenly angel wings on July 29, 2023. She was of the Baptist faith. Daisy dedicated her life to working at St. Mary’s/Tennova North Hospital. She worked 54 years at St. Mary’s in multiple positions and finished her career as an operator.

Preceded in death by father and mother, Lois Erwin Cupp and Erna Gusttava Crisp Williams; husbands, George Ronald Hudgins (1st), and Charles Johnson (2nd); and sister, Neva Jane Cupp.

Survived by sons, Richard Michael Hudgins, David Ervin Hudgins, and Robert Mark Hudgins; daughter, Debra Sue Hudgins Monroe; sister, Imogene Garner; grandchildren, Kyndall Monroe-Poteet, Kelly Monroe-Torrance, Michael Monroe, Kara Payne, Haley Hudgins-Rutherford, Abigail Hudgins-Mason, Rachel Hudgins, Cameron Hudgins, and Will Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Maverick Payne, Mabel Jo Mason, Mack Mason, Ruth Mason, and Arlo Rutherford; niece, Kathy Shepard; and nephew, Tom Garner. Daisy will be missed deeply by all those who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service with Chaplain Steve Hill officiating.
