Freddie Day - Class of 1962

Fredrick Day, 80, passed away peacefully at his home in Knoxville on September 5, 2024.
Born in Knoxville, TN in 1943, he attended Rule High School and was a graduate of The University of Tennessee. He received a Bronze Star from his service in the Vietnam War. He had the rank of Captain when he was honorably discharged from the Army. He was a member and deacon at Central Baptist Church of Bearden.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Vesser Day and his children, Melinda White, Martin Day, and daughter in law Holly Day; brothers and sisters, Timothy Lovelady, Deonna Davis, Danny Lovelady, Chris Lovelady, Tracey Behrer, and Leslie Lovelady; grandchildren, Logan and Hillary White, Lauren and Jordan Karavias, Ashley and Brandon Childress, Sarah Day, and Ethan Day; great grandchild Townsend White.
Fred will be honored at Berry Highland Memorial 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 with a visitation at 12pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm. A graveside service will occur at 3pm at Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
Donations to The Center At Western Heights may be made in lieu of flowers.
