Gary Lynn "Butterball" Latham

LATHAM, GARY LYNN "BUTTERBALL" - age 58, of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010. He was a member of Burnett's Creek Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Latham, brothers, Clarence "Sonny", Tom and Bill Latham. Survivors: Wife: Deloris Latham; Children and spouses: David and Angie Whaley, Denise Lee, Vanessa and Nixon Merassaint; Grandchildren: Randy and Amber Lee, Emily and Josh Ryan, Ella and Cole Whaley; Great-Grandchildren: June Paisley Ryan, Miranda Lee, and Brayden Honeycutt; Mother: Evelyn Latham; Sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty and Herbie Kidd, Vickie and Marty Lyons; Brother: Bob Latham and wife, Sandy. The family would like to thank Dr. Hanna and his staff, the infusion Center at UT, and the entire staff on 12 east floor. Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in Atchley's Seymour Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Miller officiating. Family and friends will meet Noon Friday at Highland South Cemetery for interment. Military honors provided by American Legion Post 104. it sadden me to hear about gary's passing. i was in gary's classes at rule and i could be wrong but i think gary would have graduated with the 70 class. wish i could have been there at the furneral home to see him but i was at another furneral home in halls.
