MS. TONIA RACHELL KING BRIGGS – AGE 50, - Of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. On Sunday, May 30, 2010, the Lord called and her spirit answered after a courageous fight with heart failure. Born January 30, 1960 to the parents of Mr. John Thomas King, Jr. and the late Mrs. Louisa Andrews Fox. Educated in the Knoxville City Schools and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Member of First Calvary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John (Sarah) Andrews, Sr., paternal grandmother, Mrs. Vanis Alma King.

Survived by three daughters, LaQuesha, Sara, and Ashley Briggs; three grandsons DeForest, Jr. and AnDujar Shell, Ezekiel Newton, Jr.; two granddaughters, Azariah and Nadia Hinton, devoted companion, Ronnie Coffer, two sisters, Glenda King of Knoxville, Rosalyn Garner of Florence, Alabama; devoted uncles, McKinley Andrews, Robert Jean King; aunts, Lillie (Wilton, Sr.) Mills, Joyce (Robert) Martin, Janice (Arthur) Moore, Shirley Andrews, Theresa J. Robinson, Carolyn (John) Thomas, Marcia Battle; loving nieces and nephews Rosario (Tameka) King, Clarence (Lacreisha) king and Delisha Anderson, devoted friends, Michael Jones, Anna Anderson, Vickie Latham, and Jerry (“Mikey”) Massingill, a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

Homegoing Service will be held 1:00 p. m. Saturday, June 5, 2010 at First Calvary Baptist Church with Minister Marie Wade, Eulogist and Pastor Benjamin Lewis, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p. m. until the funeral hour. Interment, Highland South Cemetery. Arrangements by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, Georgia.
