PARKER, LINDA PRIDE - age 55, of 507 Lakeside Dr., Garner, NC, 37529, formerly of Knoxville was born, April 2, 1956 was called to be with Jesus, February 14, 2011 at Raleigh Wake Medical Hospital. She was a member of, As Pure As Gold Ministry, in Clayton, NC and a former member of Rogers Memorial Baptist Church. Graduate of Rule High School and Knoxville College. She was employed as a Social Worker for the Department of Human Services for many years. Preceded in death by her parents, Lucinda Winton-Blackwell Pride and Robert Pride; sister, Rosemary Blackwell Beaty. Survived by her loving devoted husband of 28 years, Kenneth Parker, Washington, DC; sister, Ernestine "Tinie" Blackwell Booker; aunts and uncles, Lillian (Albert) Winton, Sr., Betty (George) Winton, Gertrude Winton, Pinston, Ohio; cousins, Lynn (Michael) Valentine, Marsha (Albert) Winton, Jr., Lucas (Lillian) Winton, Howard, Annette (Wayne) Parks, Vannesa (Steven) Winton, Jim (Audrey) Winton Williams, Frenchie Dubose; nieces and nephews, John (Georgetta) Beaty Smith, Yvette Booker, Angela (Percell) Booker, Minister Lakesha Booker; seven great nieces and nephews and two great-great-nephews; other relatives to include the Pride family, and devoted friends, Cathy Buckson, Vickie Williams and Debra Thompson. Family will receive friends, 2:00 - 2:30 p.m., Monday at Mount Olive Baptist Church; funeral service, 2:30 p.m., Rev. Dr. LaTisha Reeves, officiating. Interment Martel Cemetery.
