JOHNSON, JERRY, SR. - age 52 of Halls, passed away suddenly at his home on August 10, 2011. Member of Halls Christian Church. Preceded in death by father, Jay, Sr. and brother, Roy. Survived by wife, Janet; sons, Jerry, Jr. (Bubba) and Aaron; mother, Norma Rhea Letsinger; sister, Sandy Logsdon; brother, Jay Victor Johnson, Jr.; long time friend, Bo Lackey and father-in-law, Robert Johnson. Funeral service 11:00 am, Saturday at Halls Christian Church with Rev. Larry Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike McMillan, Scott Green, Charlie Varner, Gary Johnson, Jimbo Goins and Eddie McMillan. Honorary pallbearer will be Bo Lackey. The body will lie in state one hour before service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family for final expenses.
