Betsy Morrison Perry Zmolek

ZMOLEK, BETSY MORRISON PERRY - was born September 8, 1924 in Logan, West VA. She peacefully entered into eternal life at age 87 on Thursday, November 3, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Third Creek Baptist Church where she enjoyed many close friendships. She married Carl F. Perry at Ft. Knox, KY. Together they had one son, Carl F. Perry, Jr. Betsy was widowed in 1946. She and her son move to Knoxville where she graduated from Rule High School in 1949. She was also crowned Rule High's beauty queen that year. While working at the UT library, she met Harry A. Zmolek, a student, and they were married in 1950. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage and had three children, Perry Allen Zmolek (deceased), Debra Baird, and Teresa Kulas. Betsy is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family would like to express a very special thank you to the dedicated staff of Tennova and Caris Hospice. The family will receive friends for a celebration of life on Sunday, November 6, 2011, 3:00 p.m. at Third Creek Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity .
