HICKS, LARRY GENE - age 59, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, and an employee of AT&T. He was also an avid racing fan. Preceded in death by mother, Satre Hicks; fathers, John Hicks and Bobby Hicks; sister, Billie Kate Sharp. He is survived by beloved wife, Dianne Lynn Hicks; children, Jill Renee Smiley and husband David, Jeremy Todd Hicks and wife Sara; grandsons, Jacob and Nicklaus Smiley; step-children, Renee Bennett and husband Larry, Jesse Bennett and wife Gretchen, Kathryn Parker and husband Chris, and Jason Bennett; eight other grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Debbie, Kay, and Jan; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Jamie Bauknight. Interment will be private.
