Lois Smith Cardwell - Class of 1960

Lois Smith Cardwell, age 70, went home to be with the Lord October 23, 2013. Lois was a 1960 graduate of Rule High. She was a life time member of Northside Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents Paul and Carrie Smith and her sister JoAnn Dunn. Survived by husband of 52 years Gary Cardwell; son David (Detra); daughters Karen (Scott) Buchanan, Jeri Singh; sister Sylvia (Lane) Parkinson; brothers Ed (Ruth) Smith, Buck Smith, Tommy (Pat) Smith; grandchildren Katie Bohannon, Christopher Cardwell, Cynthia Jones, Nicholas Cardwell, Beth Tharpe, Teri Glover, Justin Stooksbury and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way. Service 8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. David Cardwell and Rev. Jonathan Tharpe officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:45am Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 10am. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. Family will receive friends 6-8pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel
