BELL, VERNON RAY (VERN) - age 85, of Knoxville passed away Sunday evening, February 2, 2014 at Ft Sanders Regional Medical Center. Vern was retired from Robertshaw Fulton Controls after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the U S Army. Vern was preceded in death by son, George David Bell; parents, George Henry Bell and Edith Hill Bell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria Bell; children, Vernon Lynn Bell of Taylor, Texas, Teresa Ann (P.J.) King of Ridge Top, TN, Angel Ridgell of Knoxville; grandchildren, Christina King of Seoul, Korea, Jessica (Lance) Wright and their child, Lane of Hendersonville, TN, Patrick King of Ridge Top, TN, Greyson Ridgell and David Ridgell both of Knoxville; brother, Bobby Joe Bell of Birmingham, AL; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will gather at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Highland Memorial Cemetery for graveside services with Rev. Charles Ogle officiating.
