Raymond Bearden - Class of 1964

BEARDEN, RAYMOND "BUDDY," - age 68, passed peacefully on February 11, 2014. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a graduate of Rule High School, class of '64. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War, as an Air Force Radar Control Operator. Buddy's love of golf even had him playing in the winter months, with his brother, Rick. He constantly declared himself to be the top golfer and winner "always" against his brother-in-law and great friend, Stormy. He reunited with, and in 1998 married, his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Edith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Louise Bearden. He is survived by his wife, Edith; step-children, Kim Cox, Jeff Stevens (wife, Laura), Tiffanie Sloan (husband, Greg); sisters, Wanda Pittman (husband, Gary Call), Linda Smith (husband, Stormy), Barbara Stiles, Sue Allen (husband, Charles Ray); brothers, "Dub," Rick (wife, Pat), Terry; eight very beloved, special grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15th 12:00 - 2:00 pm at Weaver Funeral Home. Funeral service 2:00 pm, Pastor Jeff Stevens and Preacher Timothy Gupton officiating.
