ROBERTSON, DOROTHY MAE - age 88 of Knoxville, was received by the Lord Saturday, April 5, 2014. Born in Knoxville, she graduated from Rule High School where she was a majorette. She had worked at Palm Beach Clothing Company for nearly 40 years when she retired in 1990. She relished bright colors, sunshine, rain drops on roofs, country music, toddler faces, puppy dogs, gospels, chocolate and ice cream. She was an avid walker, even in her last years. Preceded in death by her parents, Vesta Marie and George Hoyle Robertson; husband, Donald Aaron Robertson; siblings, George Hoyle Robertson, Jr., Roy E. Brown, Sr., Carl E. Brown, and Louise Wolfe; and sisters-in-law, Cleo Robertson and Gertrude Brown. Survived by daughters, Diane R. Holsomback (Jimmy L.) and Denise S. Anderson (Richard G.); siblings, William H. Brown (Vickie) and Helen Gentry; and sister-in-law, Colette Brown, all of Knoxville; five wonderful grandchildren and their families, Donald A. St. Charles (Gina), Tambra St. Charles-Thayer (Michael), both of Nashville; Jason E. Scarbrough (Lucy) of Houston; Richard G Anderson, Jr. (Anne) of Knoxville; and Ashley Pizzato (Michael) of Minneapolis; eleven precious great-grandchildren and a myriad of cousins, nieces and nephews. Much deep gratitude for the bounty of love and compassion given to her by the resident assistants, nurses and staff of Williamsburg Villas who treated her so very special and helped to make he last years richer. They were a true blessing for her. Loving her steadfast church family as she did, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, 3120 Pershing Street, Knoxville, Tenn., 37917.
