Robert "Bobby" Hill - Class of 1963

HILL, ROBERT (BOBBY) S. - of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully Sunday evening May 18, 2014 with his family and close friends. Bobby served in the US military during the Vietnam War era in Germany enlisted October 1961. He worked as a truck driver for TVA, under the Teamsters Local 519. In his spare time, he enjoyed serving others by delivering food baskets and helping the less fortunate children in his community. Preceded in death by stepfather, Paul Wright; mother, Birdie White; sisters, Elizabeth Hill, Peggy Greene, Paula Saah; brother, Kenny Hill; and many special aunts, uncles and cousins. Survived by mother of his children, Wanda Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Roni Hill and Mark Austin; son, Chris Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Shawne & Tom Csonka, of Kentucky; grandchildren, Trisha and Teresa, Tori and Rane, Keegan and Kirkland; great-grandchildren, Jada and The Dude, Declan; lifelong friend, loved as a brother, Dale King and his family; lifelong friend, Jackie Cole; and many cousins and special friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Joe (Peanut) Greene, Mikey Greene, Kirkland Austin, David Dancy, Dalton King, and Alex Smith. We will be remembering our loving father and dear friend, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel at 8:00 PM with Rev. Ronnie Dotson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 AM Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11:00 AM.
