Posted: Fri Aug 08, 2014 9:47 amDOCKERY, MICHAEL LEE - age 49, of Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Attended Lonsdale United Methodist Church. 1982 graduate of Rule High School. Served in the U.S. Navy shortly after high school. Worked as a police officer in Knox County. Michael could be found most any time lifting weights which was his love and passion. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Preceded in death by father, Troy Dockery; niece, Tiffany; and nephew, Little Robbie. Survived by sons, Corey and Cody Dockery of Knoxville; wife, Amy Dockery of Knoxville; step sons, Chad, Andrew, Nicholas, and Zachary Carruthers, all of Knoxville; mother, Phyllis Dockery; brothers, Johnny Ray Dockery of Waleska, GA, William "Billy" Dockery of Nashville, TN, Robert "Chubby" Dockery of Rutledge, TN; special friend, Angie Walker; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 12:15 p.m., Saturday, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 12:30 p.m. interment.
