FLATT, JOE W., JR. - age 77, passed away, after a lingering illness, on Saturday, December 6th, 2014, at his residence. He was a Rule High School graduate, Class of 1956, veteran of United States Army, a mason with the Burlington Masonic Lodge. He spent 50 years career in the beauty supply and sales and recently retired from A.D.T. Security. Preceded in death by parents, Joe W. Flatt, Sr., and mother Virgie Flatt; brothers, Willard Flatt, J.D. Flatt; infant brother, William Flatt; and sister, Shirley Ann Flatt. Survivors: loving wife of 56 years, Nancy Needham Flatt; sister, Brenda Sheckles; sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Bill Campbell; sister-in-law, Shirley Flatt; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Covenant Health Care Providers and to their friends for their concerns, cards, and calls.
