MEDLEY, EDITH PEARL KECK - age 81, lost her battle with Alzheimer's, but gained eternal life with her Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. Edith was born on July 10, 1933, to Benjamin and Sarah Keck. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Edith was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Hobert, Eulias, Dexter, Aaron, Carl, and Urstle Keck; her sisters, Clara and Ada Keck, Menthy Branson, Delta Bethea, and Dora Layman; and infant daughter, Karen Jane Medley. Those who are left to celebrate her life are her husband of 66 years, Fred Medley; children, Susie (David) Waddell, Dennis (Diane) Medley, and Mark (Melissa) Medley; grandchildren, Chris (Tonya) and Kevin (Stefanie) Waddell, Karen (Doug) Russell, Shane, Katie, Emily, and Zachary Medley, and Allison (Noah) Seiple; -great grandchildren are Chris, Jr., and Jesse, Alex, and Sean Waddell, and Rock Russell; and many devoted nieces and nephews. Edith was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church where she served her Lord in many capacities. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service (Powell Branch) after 25 years of service. She and Fred enjoyed their travels, but especially she loved her family and being involved in their lives. A celebration of life service for Edith Medley will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Worship Center at Ridgeview Baptist Church, 6125 Lacy Road. The family will be available to share your love and remembrances after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers, Tennessee.
