Ron "Sweat Bee" Chapman age 69, born July 13, 1945 in Knoxville, TN has finished the race and gone home on June 21, 2015. As he always grieved his mother's passing, they are now reunited again. He was a member of the former Virginia Avenue Methodist Church. He graduated from Rule High School in 1963 and proudly served his country in the US Army. After retiring from the retail business, he was able to enjoy his life on the golf course with his many friends at Whittle Springs Golf Course. Though Ron never had children of his own he loved kids and tried to always be there to give and help in any way. His family and friends were the most important thing to him. He was an irreplaceable member of the family that will be forever missed. His honesty, integrity, loyalty and faith were often seen in his numerous charitable contributions at Eagles #2698. He became good friends with Billy Spires and was very proud of his dedication to the Eagles. Preceded in death by mother, Iona Koontz Chapman; sisters, Carole Huff and Sandy Nichols.
He is survived by best friend and brother-in-law, Carl "Sonny" Huff; brother-in-law, Fred Nichols; uncle, Kenneth Koontz and wife Joann; nephew, Scott Huff and wife Kathy; great-nephews, Kyle and Zane Huff; great-niece, Molly; niece, Laurie Nichols; special niece and buddy, Susan Nichols; niece, Allison Chambers and husband Jason; great-nephew, Austin Boggs; great-nieces Kinsley and Adalyn. The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude to very dear friend Elaine Long for being there. We will never be able to thank you enough. Ron wishes to express his valued friendships with several close friends from the VFW# 1733: Bob and Nancy Henry, Lawrence and Bernice Baily, Wiley and Mike Lynch, Danny and Charlie Fritz; from there he leaves many treasured friends that hold a special place in his heart. He always said, "A friend is someone you would be proud to have your picture made with."
