Pauline Irwin Whitley - Class of 1944

Pauline Irwin Whitley, age 90 of Knoxville, TN left this life on Wednesday, July 1, 2015. She was a member of Beaumont Avenue Baptist Church, and enjoyed time with her family. She was a very passionate Roller Skater and water Skier, an avid pet lover, and enjoyed adventures in cooking winning the Dole Pineapple cook-off.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life husband, Oddie Lee (Whit) Whitley; parents, Bart and Zettle Irwin. She is survived by her sisters, Kat Blackstock, Evaline (Dinger) Irwin, Betty Towe, and Lana Stooksbury; several loving nieces and nephews and a host of cousins. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff and caregivers at NHC Knoxville for their love and support. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 pm with Rev. Dean Braden and Rev. Ron Russell officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery 10:45 am Monday, for graveside services at 11:00 am.
