Roy Koontz - Class of 1960

Roy Edward Koontz, age 74, of Knoxville passed away early Thursday morning, October 8, 2015 at his home.
Roy is preceded in death by son, James Edward Koontz; his granddaughter, Kayla Smith. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Koontz; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Greg Smith, Tracy and Robbie Key, all of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette, Sarah, Ann, and Janice; brother, J D; several nieces and nephews. The Koontz family would like to give special thanks to Amedysis Hospice.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:45 p.m. on Sunday at the Click Funeral Home Middlebrook Chapel followed by funeral services at 4:00 p.m. with Chaplain Clay Mulford officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Lake View Cemetery for graveside services.
