Barbara Ann Tipton, age 78 of Knoxville, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Dutch Valley Church of God and Central Church of God. She worked at Watson's and Peebles for 27 years from 1978 to 2005, and for UTMC Auxiliary from 2006- until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cythia Barker Clayton and Howard Tipton; siblings, Kenneth Tipton, and Doris Bramlett. She is survived by sister-in-law, Sally Tipton; nieces, Stacey Tipton, and Tracey Tipton; great-niece, Haley Sturgill; great-nephew, Landon Watson, and lots of extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Jack Dean officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:15 pm Friday, January 22, 2016 at Asbury Cemetery for a 2:30 pm graveside service.
