John Harbin, age 78 of Knoxville, passed away June 28, 2016. The lawn mowin; George Jones lovin; race you anytime and win, grilling challenged, cornbread and corn eating man, was the most loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather you could ever wish for.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Inez Harbin and 5 brothers. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Harbin; daughters, Meloni (Vernon) Smith, Penny (Jeff) Parsley; grandchildren, Meredith (Michael) Neal, Kassandra Parsley and fiancée Alex Hueso, Kyle Parsley and Sydney Parsley; great-grandchild, Henley Neal; sister, Stella (Jack) Ridings; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gail and Eugene Roach; nephews, Scott and Rob Ridings.
