Eddie E. Franklin, age 82, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Tennova Residential Hospice. He was a member of Second United Methodist Church and Trew Homebuilders Sunday School class for 60 years. Eddie was also a member of Local 102 and served as President for several years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by parents, William Garner and Alma Franklin; and first wife, Glenna McCurry Franklin. He was survived by wife, Peggy Lawson Franklin; daughters, Vickie Adams and husband Kenny, Amy Chandler and husband Bud, Jill Sollars and husband Gary, and Beth Stephens and husband Greg; stepson, Jerry Lawson and wife Christin; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Reverend Tim Paul will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second United Methodist Church, Building Fund, or Honor Air.
