Frances (Frankie) L. (Borden) Stroud, 81, of Knoxville, TN, entered into Heaven, Saturday, February 18, 2017, after suffering a stroke. Frankie lived a full and productive Christian life as a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. Generous, caring, unassuming, and always welcoming, Frankie made lasting friends wherever she was. For those who knew her, it was a common occurrence to meet at the house on Maloney Road and talk and laugh and where there was always good southern food. Frankie was a Rule High grad and cheerleader, working mom, counselor to all, who retired from the University of Tennessee where she worked at the athletic center. While wearing many hats over her lifetime (both literally and figuratively), Frankie was always recognizable as a little lady with a superb voice in both the Mount Olive and Sevier Heights Baptist church choirs. Her gift and passion for singing was a signature attribute, and Frankie routinely traveled and sang with various groups. Frankie will be truly missed by the multitude of friends and family who were attracted to her endless warmth and charm.

Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Irene Borden, husband, W. Jennings Stroud; son, Joseph Stroud; sister, Lois Kerr; mother and father-in-law, Blanche and Worth Stroud; and sister-in-law, Sara Hobby. Frankie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dusty and Susan Stroud, Scott and Missy Stroud; son, Russell; daughter-in-law, Debbie Stroud; brother and sister-in-law, David and Pat Borden; grandchildren, Venessa Finley-Stroud, Zekiel Zuniga, Tiffany, Joseph, Cory, Jessica, Joshua, Logan and Caleb Stroud; great-great-grandchildren, Trenton and Shyan Finley, and Charlie Rose and Zekiel Zuniga; nieces, Cindy (Hobby) Ammons and husband, Martin Ammons and Dr. Jill (Hobby) Mayette and husband Dr. Phil Mayette; and special relative, Kimberly Murillo.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the chapel at Berry Funeral Home with the service to immediately follow with Rev. Bob Kerr officiating. Interment will follow the service at Centenary Baptist church cemetery. Condolences may be offered at http://www.berryfuneralhome.com
