Kenny Koontz - Class of 1961

Kenneth Ray Koontz, 73 of Newburgh, IN, passed away February 21, 2017. He was born January 9, 1944 in Knoxville, TN the son of the late Henry Lee And Estella C. (Irick) Koontz. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Kenneth worked 38 years as an Inspector for Underwriters Laboratories. He served as a deacon for the Washington Ave. Baptist Church (Evansville) and also for Creekside Baptist Church (Evansville) of which he was a member. His hobbies include woodworking, NASCAR, University of Tennessee football, serving His Lord Jesus through the church, and Spending time with his family and friends as often as possible.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Floyd Koontz, Louise Nave, Betty Sharp, Ralph and Walter Koontz. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Diane (Cox) Koontz; sons, Kenneth Allan (Melissa) Koontz of Evansville, IN and Michael L. (Janet) Koontz of Harriman, TN; a sister, Marion Pack of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kenneth "Kit", Drake "Alex", Gabriel and T.J. Kenneth's family would like to say "Thank You" to the many doctors involved with Kenneth's Care, such as Dr. David Schultz, family physician; Dr. Anthony Stephens, Oncologist; Dr. Dominic Cefali Heart Surgeon and Dr. Satyam Tatineni, Cardiologist.
