Glena Carol Van Hoozier Grizzle, age 76, went home to be with the Lord December 15, 2017 at Parkwest Medical Center. Glena was a Knoxville native and a member of Central Baptist Church-Bearden. She was preceded in death by her loving and caring husband of 48 years, William Mack Grizzle; parents, Gilbert and Ella Mae Kidd Van Hoozier; and niece, Nancy Hill. She is survived by two precious grandchildren in her life, Megan (John) Hedley and Matthew Morton and their parents, Kim and Paul Morton of Knoxville; nephew, Gary (Kathye) Grizzle of New Market; nieces, Virginia (Kenny) Nipper, Harriet (John) Hartman; great niece, Charlene (Brent) Bailey; great nephews, Darrell Hill and Duane (Kristi) Hill; special relative, Rev. Harrison Hill; six great-great nephews, a great-great niece, a great-great-great nephew and niece; special extended family, Chad and Jessica, Jackson, and Isaac Lange; and special friend, Woodlyn Lockhart. The family will receive friends Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Berry Highland West Funeral Home, 9913 Sherrill Blvd. Knoxville, TN 37932. Entombment Services will be conducted Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Berry Highland West with Reverend Harrison Hill officiating services.
