Bill Rolen - Class of 1955

William W. Rolen "Bill", age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18th 2017 after a brief illness. Bill was retired from AT&T and a former owner of Rental Car of Knoxville. He was a respected leader in the community, involved in politics and youth sports. He loved gardening and traveling with the University of Tennessee to sporting events.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Carol Whaley Rolen. He is survived and will be greatly missed by children, Mark Rolen of Knoxville, Jeff Rolen (Julie) of Lawrenceburg, Suzy McAmis (Mark) of Maryville, Angie Rolen Bolus (Chuck) of Knoxville; eight grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.
