Larry Wallace - Class of 1957

Larry Edgar Wallace, 79, of Knoxville passed away Saturday evening, February 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Larry was a veteran of the U S Air Force serving in the Security Service in Misawa, Japan. He was retired from the U S Postal Service as a supervisor. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Charles D Wallace and Clyda Corum Wallace; brother, Kenneth Wallace; sisters, Wilma Preston and Dorothy Whitaker.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Sharp Wallace; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Ashley Wallace of Knoxville; daughter, Suzanne Smith of Arlington, Tennessee; grandchildren, Haylee Smith, Hanna Smith and Arya Grace Wallace; mother-in-law, Jo Sharp; nieces, Carol Belcher, Sandy Nelson and Myra Preston.

Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at the East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery, 2200 East Gov John Sevier Highway for memorial services with Rev. Rhonda Hobbs officiating. Full military honors will be conferred by the U S Air Force and the East Tennessee Veteran's Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 5613 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37921.
