Earl Edward Romines age 78 of Knoxville went home to heaven on Friday, March 9, 2018. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist church and a proud Veteran of the United States Army. In his spare time he loved singing in church and working in the garden at home. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Ollie Romines, and son David Romines. Earl is survived by his loving wife Mary of 42 years, sisters: Martha Shackelford (Eddie), and Mildred Moore (Bill); children: Beverly Silvano and husband Michael, Debbie Noiseux and husband Patrick, and Michael Githens and wife Tammie; grandchildren: Jason Wells (Jennifer), SSgt. Walter Horner, Jr. (Chantal), Brittany Hughes (Corey), and Justin Romines (Jennifer); and several great grandchildren who he loved dearly. The family would like to give a special thank you to Preferred Care at Home and UT Hospice staff for their special care. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 15, 2018 at ROSE MORTUARY BROADWAY CHAPEL from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm with a funeral service immediately following at 7:00 pm officiated by Rev. James Duncan. Family and friends will meet Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:15 am for an 11:30 am interment at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Full military honors will be presented by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. An online obituary may be viewed and condolences made at www.rosemortuary.com.
