Died: Friday, November 30th, 2018 - Knoxville / West Hills Rehab Facility

He was preceded in death by father and mother, Herman Floyd (Jack) Sharp and Janie Gertrude Sharp, Knoxville,

sister Zelma S. Williams and brother-in-law Bill Williams, brothers, Floyd Junior Sharp and Robert L. Sharp, Knoxville, mother and father-in-law William Anderson Walker, Knoxville and Helen O'Connor Smith, Pensacola FL, sister-in-law, Judy Wiley ,Texas. He leaves Dianne, his wife of fifty-six years, and his beloved son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Tina Sharp, Knoxville,

sister-in-law, Lola Sharp, Knoxville, nephews, Jack (and Carolyn) Williams, Knoxville, John (and Peggy) Williams, Lenoir City, Montgomery (and Amy ) Sharp, Knoxville, niece, Lisa Pentecost, Knoxville, David (and Carolyn) Walker, Pensacola, Florida, nephew David (and Jowie) Walker, San Antonio, TX, niece, Melissa (and Jim) Ward of Leavenworth, Washington.

Frank served in the United States Army and was wire chief for the 66th Signal Battalion of the 18th Air Borne Corps. He worked as a car repairman for Southern Railroad before joining the Knoxville City School System where he served as teacher at Fair Garden Elementary, Director of Manpower Training Center, and Principal of Giffin Elementary and Pleasant Ridge Elementary. Frank received both his bachelors and master's degrees in Education from the University of TN, Knoxville. He retired from Pleasant Ridge Elementary in 1985.

For over 50 seasons, Frank served as gate keeper at Neyland Stadium. Frank was the supervisor of Gate 10 for over 15

seasons, retiring after the 2008 season. His hobbies were

woodworking projects and working on / fixing lawn mowers.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7 pm Thursday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. A Celebration of Life will follow. Rev. John Holland will officiate. In lieu of
