Wilma Scriven McCoig age 84 of Knoxville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Retired from Knox County Schools as the Administrative Assistant to the Title 1 Director. A longtime member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church, and more recently a member of Sharon Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joe McCoig. Survived by her children, Brian McCoig (Linda), Rev. Mark McCoig (Amy), Missy Smith (Jeff); grandchildren, Kendra and TJ McCoig, Stephen, Collin, and Zach McCoig, Annie, Allena, and Joe Smith; siblings, Alice Bivens and Gary Scriven; sister-in-law, Mary McCoig; a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Sharon Baptist Church with Dr. James McCluskey and Rev. Kent Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00PM, Sunday, December 30, 2018. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM graveside service Monday, December 31, 2018.
