Kennedy Maurice Sanders-Snapp, "Reese", was born January 5, 1964 to Lois J. Sanders and Thomas Lee Snapp, Sr. in Knoxville, TN. He transitioned on February 5, 2021 at Park West Medical Center. Reese was of Baptist faith. He graduated from Rule High School where he played basketball. He was employed by UPS and the City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation. Reese was a hardworking man who was known for being "A Jack of All Trades." He loved working on cars, cooking and baking. He mastered his culinary skills while working at Regas Restaurant, The Italian Market and Grill and The Chop House. An avid sports fan, he loved his Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Volunteers. Kennedy was a loving father, granddad, brother and uncle. He will be truly missed by his family and everyone who knew him.

Preceded in death by his son, Kennedy Maurice Sanders, Jr.; mother, Lois "Moma Lois" Sanders; brothers, John Cotner, Jr., Tommy Taylor and Thomas Lee Snapp, Jr.

Survived by his children, Chanel Sanders; adopted daughter, Nina Davis; sons, Kaleb and Kameryn Sanders, all of Knoxville, TN; grandsons, Johnny Baker and Jaxson Sanders, both of Knoxville, TN; father, Thomas Lee Snapp, Sr. of Knoxville, TN; sisters, LaTonya (Robert) Lattimore, Yolanda Snapp, both of Knoxville, TN, Sarah "Candie" Sanders of Nashville, TN, Jennifer Rock of Severn, MD, Sharon Snapp of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia (Ronald) Seldon of Boston, MA and Jacqueline Snapp of Detroit, MI; brothers, Shelton (Beverly) Cotner, Sr. of Muscle Shoals, AL, Reginald Cotner of Columbia, SC, Scott Cotner, Vincent, Kermit and Thomas Kerry Snapp and Chris Smith, all of Knoxville, TN; girlfriend, Beth Field; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including the Rule High, Class of 1983, all who loved him dearly.

Saturday, February 13, 2021, a public walkthrough is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Payne Avenue Baptist Church, 2714 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN followed by a private service for immediate family and close friends. Reverend Percell Booker is the eulogist. Social distancing and face coverings are required. Interment will take place at Mount Olive Cemetery, 2400 Berry Road, Knoxville, TN where a white dove release will conclude the service. During this time, we will remain in compliance with the Governor's Executive Order No. 17 (COVID-19). Flowers may be delivered to the church the morning of the walkthrough.
