Elbert 'Jerry' Hensley - Class of 1959

Hensley, Elbert(Jerry), 79 , ascended into Heaven on Tuesday, September 15 ,2020 at his home in LaHabra California. He was born November 24, 1940, in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was a 1959 graduate of Rule High School. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doronna J. (Golden) Hensley, children Cynthia Sue Hayes, Tamala Jo Cartwright, and Ryan Michael and Marie Elizabeth Hensley; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren of whom he was very proud. Jerry is survived by his devoted sister JoAnn and brother-in-law Ray Smith as well as his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bill and Sue Burer. Jerry was a very ambitious employee of W.R. Grace, National Lead, General Electric and Ford Motor in Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved to California in 1980 and worked for Chevron USA. He retired from Chevron USA and continued as a contractor for several oil companies. Jerry enjoyed being a LaHabra Lion and Fullerton ELK member. Jerry had a story for anyone that had the time to listen and a great sense of humor. Services will be at Memory Garden October 3rd starting at 11:00 for viewing, at 12:00 for services, and 1:00 for graveside services.
