Hal David Gose, 82, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, February 15, 2022. He was born on September 24, 1939, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Preceded in death by parents Milton Reo Gose and Pearl Rader Gose; sister, Alice White; nephew Tommy White; and sister-in-law, Cookie Gose. Survived by wife Carolyn Miller Gose; son, Stephen (Kathy) Gose; grandchildren, Kelly (Joey) West and Skylan Gilbert; great-grandchildren, Mandalynn and Wyatt West; brothers, Roy Gose and Jim Gose; sister-in-law Becky Miller Hill, and several nieces and nephews. David was active in youth sports, coached track and AYSO soccer, and was an avid Lady Vols fan. He worked with the youth group at Ball Camp Baptist Church. He retired from the University of Tennessee library where he served on the Employee Relations Committee and the Athletics Board. David was a member of West Park Baptist Church and was active in the Berean class. The family will receive friends at West Park Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 22, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Interment will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
