HOWARD, ERMEL M. - age 88 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 11, 2007, at Ft. Sander's Hospital.Coach Howard also worked on the staffs of South Doyle, Fulton, Catholic, and Rule High Schools. He retired as a teacher at Rule High School in 1991 after 42 years of service.Funeral services will be Sunday, July 15, 2007 in the chapel at Bridges Funeral Home with Wynn Bryant officiating. Family will meet 10:45 am Monday at Spring Place Presbyterian Cemetery for an 11:00 am interment. The family will receive friends 4:00-5:00 pm Sunday at Bridges Funeral Home, 5430 Rutledge Pike, 523-4999.

He taught US History at Rule when I was there.
