Tommy Pressley - Class of 1962

Thomas Michael Pressley, age 73, of Corryton, went to be with the Lord September 20, 2017. Thomas was a graduate of Rule High School in 1962 and was also a graduate of Walter State Community College. He was a born again Christian and knew Jesus as his personal Savior. Thomas retired from the Knoxville Police Department with over 35 years of dedicated service. He was an active member with the Fraternal Order of Police serving with many community outreach programs including the FOP Youth Camp and the "Shop with a Cop" program. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents Elbert and Eula Pressley; brothers Dennis Pressley and Robert Pressley. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Pressley; daughter Aresia Jones; granddaughter Abigail Jones; brother Ron Pressley; sisters Judy Parker and Cathy Breeden (Randy); and several loved nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 5:00p-7:00p at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 7:00p with Joe Lee, Jeff Lee and Austin Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet Sunday, September 24, 2017, at 12:45p at Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00p interment. Please leave online condolences for the Pressley family at www.mynattfh.com.
