Jack Franklin Earl, affectionately known as Daddy Jack, 84, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Brightmoor Hospice after a short illness.

Jack was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Johnnie Hager Earl; his parents, Daniel Earl and Neil Mendenhall Earl; two brothers, Tony Earl and Danny Earl; and son-in law, John Carter. Jack was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He retired as Vice President of Buster Brown Apparel after which time he served as pastor at Payne’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Lookout Mountain.

Daddy Jack was a graduate of Rule High School and The University of Tennessee. He loved Tennessee football and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his Vols! He served in the Air Force National Guard for seven years. His love for the Lord was shared with many through his creative Sunday School lessons and the many Bible studies he wrote. One of his favorite pastimes was singing hymns out of the Cokesbury Hymnal as his beautiful bride played the piano.
